WAR WITHIN

When someone is at war with God it shows up as war with anyone that stands for him. Peace with Christ really is the only way to peace with others. The problem stems from the idea that we are just   so many independent beings that can walk around living apart from one another which tends to end in conflict. If I am living with the idea that my stuff is mine and your stuff is yours so don’t encroach on me then there will always be opportunities for conflict. On the other hand if I start to see myself and others as part of one body, others begin to be seen quite differently.

Paul tells us in 1st Corinthians 12 “For the body is not one member, but many.” We each have our own individual place in the body but we can never claim independence from the rest of the members. I for one am truly satisfied with my place and have no need to encroach upon yours. God has placed each member where he wants them “so that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another.”

I’ll wrap this up by saying, I am learning more each day what my part in the body is. As I am open to receive direction from Christ, who is the head, I learn not to over step my small area of operations. If and when, He wants me to expand my territory I will be listening but until then I will continue to do what I know I am called to do.

  1. Beautiful picture! It is always a great lesson when we learn not to over step what God has called us to do. The Word and the spirit give us that balance when we are humble!
